Prince Edward Island Arts Awards

The Prince Edward Island Arts Awards were established to draw attention to the important role the arts play on Prince Edward Island. The Awards honour a senior Island artist as well as those who support the arts and play integral roles in maintaining an arts community.

The PEI Arts Awards are administered by the Prince Edward Island Council of the Arts, in partnership with the Government of PEI and our patron, the Hon. H. Frank Lewis, Lt. Governor of PEI.

The second presentation of these important Awards will take place at Fanningbank, the official residence of the Lt. Governor of PEI, in May of 2012. There will be five awards presented; the Father Adrien Arsenault Senior Arts Award, the Premier's Award for Volunteerism, the Lt. Governor's Award for Patron of the Arts, the Minister of Education's Award for Education in the Arts and the Minister of Culture's Award for Excellence in Community Cultural Development.

All residents of PEI may nominate candidates for these awards. The deadline for nominations is Friday April 17, 2012. More information about these awards as well as downloadable nomination forms can be found by clicking on the links to the left.
